9. New Orleans Saints: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
The New Orleans Saints have done a really good job in recent years revamping their offensive line. The defensive line might need some renovating in the near future now.
David Stone had a breakout year last year for the Oklahoma defense, and we're going to see what he can really do in year three under Brent Venables, who might be the best defensive coach in all of college football.
Stone is a true three-down player on the interior whose pass rush ability is still an untapped goldmine, and we're going to see him unearth those skills in 2026 en route to a likely top-10 or top-15 draft selection.
10. Carolina Panthers: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
The tight end position might not be the first and foremost need for a team like the Carolina Panthers, but it's near the top of their list, and Jamari Johnson is far too talented to pass on at this stage.
If he had come out in 2026, he might have joined teammate Kenyon Sadiq as a first-round player. He averaged almost 16 yards per reception at Oregon last season, and is in line for a much higher volume of total targets this upcoming season.
The Panthers just signed Darren Waller to address their weak tight end position, where neither Tommy Tremble nor Ja'Tavion Sanders have developed into the type of pass-catching threat they want for Bryce Young.
11. Minnesota Vikings: Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida
We will now officially be getting at least one year of the Kyler Murray-led Minnesota Vikings, and it seems like Kevin O'Connell is coming close to completely detaching himself from 2024 1st-round pick JJ McCarthy. If Murray doesn't turn out to be the type of player the Vikings hope, this could also be a top quarterback landing spot in 2027.
Regardless of what happens at QB for the Vikings, the running back position is going to need to be revamped in the near future. Aaron Jones is getting older, and both he and Jordan Mason will be free agents after the season anyway.
Jadan Baugh has recently started to creep onto some top-25 big boards in the NFL Draft world, including one from our friend Justin Melo. He's built like an absolute tank at 6-foot-1, 225 pounds, and can do it all at the running back position.
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
The Buccaneers might have a significant problem on their hands. Baker Mayfield was (understandably) extremely upset after contract negotiations did not go to his liking prior to the start of training camp, and this could be his last year with the Bucs.
The way Mayfield played down the stretch last season, it's actually a little understandable that the Bucs don't want to give him a long-term deal with more guaranteed cash than they're comfortable handing out until he bounces back.
If things really get messy for the Bucs this season, we could be looking at a total reset for the organization at both head coach and QB. And here in the 2027 NFL Draft, you can take your pick of prospects.
