9. New York Jets (from Colts): CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

I said earlier that the Jets were going to have to play the game, but with three quarterbacks already coming off the board in the top 8 picks, they might have to make sure they're not left without a date to the dance.

Again, this is looking more and more like a deep quarterback class. CJ Carr of Notre Dame is another player at the position who came into this season with really high expectations surrounding him, and he's lived up to the hype.

He does a great job of running Notre Dame's quick game as well as putting the ball in good spots on downfield throws. In this mock draft, he reunites with Leonard Moore as a member of the Jets.

10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Echoles, DL, Ole Miss

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had some drama on the defensive line this offseason with Vita Vea asking for a trade.

Instead of trading him, they found a way to keep him happy with a new contract, but the long-term concern on the defensive front remains. Will Vea be back after this season? A'Shawn Robinson is also a free agent after the 2026 season, so the defensive line will be a focus for the Bucs in the 2027 NFL Draft.

After getting Baker Mayfield's deal done, it also wouldn't be surprising to see the Bucs go after another offensive weapon here, maybe a tight end.

11. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

Even though his eligibility status was in question during the offseason, Trinidad Chambliss has made the most of the opportunity the NCAA has given him.

He's running Lane Kiffin's offense to perfection, and showing NFL scouts that he's got 1st-round chops in the process. After throwing for 3,937 yards last season, Chambliss has been locked in to start the 2026 season for Ole Miss.

He's going to face a lot of questions coming out of the college ranks that typically have pushed him down mock draft predictions (age, height, system). But he is making all kinds of NFL-level plays this season and the Steelers obviously won't be planning on Aaron Rodgers being around beyond this season.

12. Los Angeles Chargers: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

Ellis Robinson IV is the first of what is expected to be many Georgia Bulldogs flying off the board in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Robinson was one of the most coveted players coming up to the college level back in 2024, and he hasn't disappointed in his first three seasons. He had four interceptions last year for the Bulldogs, and has some of the best ball skills in the class.

With starter Donte Jackson hitting free agency after the 2026 season, the Chargers would probably love for a playmaker like this at corner to fall right into their laps.
