29. San Francisco 49ers: Carter Smith, OL, Indiana
At some point, Trent Williams is going to call it a career. Both Williams and guard Dominick Puni are free agents after the 2027 season, so some long-term planning along the offensive line is going to need to happen in 2026.
Carter Smith has been a longtime starter for the Indiana offense and was an All-American during their incredible 2025 season. He might be the type of player who slides inside to guard at the next level, but he's got the physicality and athleticism to translate well to the Kyle Shanahan offense.
And most importantly, with so much time on task at the college level, he's going to be able to quickly acclimate himself at the NFL level.
30. Buffalo Bills: Zach Lutmer, DB, Iowa
One of these days, we're going to be right about predicting the Buffalo Bills to take a safety or versatile defensive back in the NFL Draft. It feels like an annual tradition at this point.
Zach Lutmer is a really fun player to study because he can do so many different things for your team. Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard might see a lot of himself in a player like Lutmer, who can not only play the safety position, but return punts as well.
Lutmer can play in the slot, he can play deep, and he's a ridiculous athlete. He would be a weapon for Buffalo's secondary.
31. Seattle Seahawks: Kelley Jones, CB, Mississippi State
The Seattle Seahawks lost a lot of playmakers on the defensive side of the ball during the 2026 offseason, including a couple of starters in the secondary.
One of their more notable losses was cornerback Riq Woolen, who bolted in free agency for the Eagles. Even though they played fantastic against the Patriots in Week 1, the cornerback position is one where the Seahawks are looking a little thin this season.
How about another 6-foot-4 unicorn at the position? Kelley Jones has proven himself to be a really fluid mover at his height, and does a great job on the outside with great ball skills and disruptive length.
32. Baltimore Ravens: Kade Pieper, C, Iowa
The last Iowa center to be taken in the 1st round of the NFL Draft just so happens to be Tyler Linderbaum, a first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens back in 2022.
Now with Linderbaum off to the Raiders, the Ravens have a long-term need at the center position and they can look to the most well-coached offensive line in the nation once again. Kirk Ferentz and that Iowa staff crank out NFL-ready offensive linemen year after year, and Kade Pieper would be the ideal fit this late in the first round to plug and play at center in Baltimore.
