29. Las Vegas Raiders - Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas
Would the Las Vegas Raiders even need a tackle? Perhaps this is a stretch, as the team is getting some good play from their offensive line this year, but I can’t help but wonder if they could simply add more talent here.
Left tackle Kolton Miller is a really solid player and has started all four games to begin the season. He has struggled with injuries in his career, but when he’s on the field, he’s great. Right tackle DJ Glaze is definitely having a solid season so far, but this is really the first time in his young career we’ve seen him play this well.
It might not hurt to draft Trevor Goosby, as there could be a chance he plays right tackle if the Raiders don’t want to invest more into Glaze, and with Miller’s injury history, there could be a future there for him on the left side.
Vegas did get the QB (or they at least hope they did) with Fernando Mendoza. A lot of their remaining roster deficiencies could be addressed in free agency, so while it might sound insane now, the Raiders could come into the 2027 NFL Draft with a lot of freedom.
30. Minnesota Vikings - Ahmad Moten Sr, DT, Miami (FL)
If you’re the Minnesota Vikings, you might be stuck in a really odd situation when April rolls around. The team is 4-0, yet the offense just has not shown a whole lot. Sure, the remaining 13 games will likely show us one way or another if this offense is for real, but how do you not continue to lean into a strength?
With the way the defense is playing, there is a real chance that their defensive coordinator, Brian Flores, could find himself with a head coaching job in 2027. That would give the Vikings a major hole to fill, as Flores feels like the best DC in the sport right now. And with Kyler Murray a competent QB, if nothing else, and all the top QB prospects gone, it could make the most sense for the Vikings to add another young defensive player to the mix.
Ahmad Moten Sr has the size to feast in the middle of the defensive line, and he could help this unit continue to turn the page into a younger era.
