3. New York Jets (via LAC) - Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Trade! The New York Jets trade up a handful of spots to select Oregon's Dante Moore, and with Moore having gone back to school for another year, the Jets still find a way to nab him in our mock draft. Most of the mock drafts last year had the Jets taking Moore with the second overall pick, but New York opted for EDGE David Bailey with Moore having returned to school.
Obviously, the same front office is still with the Jets, and this time, with a trio of first-round picks, it feels rather impossible that they do not end up with a solid QB prospect. I do believe the Jets are currently on the right track with some of the personnel they have. The offensive line is young and solid, and the playmaking weapons on that side of the ball also appear to be in a solid spot.
The defense is still a work in progress, but given how the 2026 season has started, you almost wonder if General Manager Darren Mougey plans on making a coaching change, as the defensive-minded Aaron Glenn just does not appear to be cut out to hold a head coaching role in this league at the moment.
4. Miami Dolphins - Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss
With the Jets having jumped in front of the Miami Dolphins, the Dolphins 'settle' for Trinidad Chambliss from Ole Miss. Chambliss definitely fits into that playmaker category at the position. He's a but undersized but can make up for it by extending plays. His legs are a threat, and he really just oozes athleticism, and that is something you can't teach.
And while this might not be fair to Malik Willis, it feels rather unlikely that he eventually settles into being a franchise QB for Miami.
