9. Arizona Cardinals - Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
The Arizona Cardinals have been starting Jacoby Brissett the past two seasons, and it's worked out how you would expect it to. Brissett is a perfectly fine backup option, but him starting anything more than a handful of games for any franchise is simply not ideal.
The Cardinals did take Carson Beck in this year's draft, and I would be shocked if we didn't see him getting some action at some point in the near future. Just because Beck was not a highly-touted QB prospect, doesn't mean he can't work out.
And there is legitimately no harm in trying in a rebuilding season. With that said, it's likely that Beck doesn't show enough for the front office to totally pass on a first-round QB. With the ninth overall pick, the Cardinals snag Drew Mestemaker from Oklahoma State and move forward with a QB room that features two young players. If nothing else, the upside could be massive.
10. New York Jets - Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina
Dylan Stewart got suspended by the team earlier this season but is set to return. He has all the tools and traits you could possibly want, and him also being 6-6 and 250 pounds is a massive plus. With the Jets having taken Moore at the top of this mock draft, it's only logical that the team continues rebuilding this team with future foundational pieces.
Having taken Bailey in last year's NFL Draft and Stewart in this mock draft, the front office is clearly putting a major emphasis on getting to the QB, and when you consider that Mougey was previously with the Denver Broncos, it all makes sense.
Could the Jets actually be... good in 2027? With how much draft capital they have, it's very possible that all the young talent pays off soon.
