7. Washington Commanders: Ellis Robinson IV, CB, Georgia

Just like the Buccaneers in front of them, the Washington Commanders would be in danger of a coaching staff overhaul if they finish this poorly.

Part of the reason why that might happen is the play of the Washington defense. They have been atrocious dating back to last season.

And while one player isn't going to come in and fix that overnight, getting a playmaker at the cornerback position like Ellis Robinson IV would certainly help. He's not getting a ton of top-10 talk right now, but maybe he should. He might have the best ball skills and toughness of any corner in the country.

8. Houston Texans: Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas

We might be on a collision course between the Texans and quarterback CJ Stroud this offseason for the ages. Stroud has played decent football despite the Texans' struggles so far in 2026, and they just got him another weapon by trading for Marvin Harrison Jr.

One of Houston's biggest issues going into this season was their offensive line, and that remains a concern as we move forward.

Looking in their own backyard, the Texans get maybe the best offensive line prospect in a pretty good-looking class right now.

9. New York Jets: Trinidad Chambliss, QB, Ole Miss

The New York Jets are equipped with three 1st-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, and quarterback will be the primary focus.

With Drew Mestemaker and Arch Manning off the board, the discussion here is very interesting. You have Darian Mensah playing really well at Miami, but has he shown enough to all levels of the field to be worthy of a top-10 pick?

CJ Carr is also playing great for Notre Dame, but the one guy who might have the most NFL-ready skill set right now is Trinidad Chambliss. Yes, he's going to be 25 next season, but experience and time on task matter more to NFL teams now than ever before.

If the Jets want a QB who can hit the ground running at the next level, Chambliss might be the more "refined" prospect coming out, despite concerns over his size (under 6 feet tall).

10. New York Jets (from Colts): Ashton Hampton, CB, Clemson

You might argue here with the second (of three) 1st-round picks the Jets have at their disposal that they need to focus on the defensive rebuild from the inside-out, but with two corners already off the board, they can't be left without a date to the dance.

And luckily for the Jets, both in the case of cornerback and quarterback, this is a fantastic draft class.

Ashton Hampton is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, and has the type of fluidity teams covet at the cornerback position. He does a great job with his feet, flipping his hips, and is aggressive making plays on the ball.
