Another absolutely wild week of action in Week 8 of the 2026 season has shifted the 2027 NFL Draft order significantly.

The Los Angeles Chargers kept a firm hold on the top pick after another deflating loss in the Battle of Los Angeles with the Rams, but there was plenty of movement in the top 10 picks overall after losses by the Colts, Eagles, Jets, and Cowboys.

With all of the big changes in the top 10 order, it seems only fitting that we would hit refresh on our latest 1st-round 2027 NFL mock draft and at least look at those top 10 picks overall.

Whoever ends up with the #1 overall pick is almost undoubtedly going to end up with Jeremiah Smith...right?

The Los Angeles Chargers happen to need help at the receiver position badly. They thought Ladd McConkey was going to take a much bigger step forward than he has, and none of their higher picks like Quentin Johnston or Trey Harris have been able to truly emerge for Justin Herbert.

Even though the Chargers have a lot of issues right now, Smith would be a huge addition.

This is one of the biggest changes we are making from the mock draft we did over the weekend. Not to overreact to one game, but it's difficult to keep a QB in this slot when Cam Ward is coming off what might be his best game as a member of the Titans.

The Titans should still be considered in the market for QBs in next year's draft until Ward performs well consistently, but this defense needs a new "Simmons" after trading theirs to the Chicago Bears.

All kidding aside, the Titans need a game-wrecker on the defensive front. Colin Simmons has been exactly that for Texas.

Even picking 3rd overall, the Miami Dolphins still land the QB1 of this draft class. Drew Mestemaker has been an incredible story, going from walk-on at North Texas to being viewed as nearly the consensus top quarterback in the 2027 NFL Draft class.

Although other prospects in this class have done their part to fall out of favor with NFL teams, Mestemaker's ascent shouldn't be diminished to simply being the last man standing.

He has legitimate NFL traits, a big arm, and playmaking ability.
