Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season is already upon us, which is wild to think about. Now that we're into October, we are slowly going to see the NFL hierarchy shaping up. And when November and December roll around, that's when things really get frisky.

There are already also some bye weeks, as both Carolina and Kansas City are on the bye, so we have 30 of 32 teams in action in Week 5. And when you examine further, there are absolutely some lopsided matchups, and we have to talk about them here.

Let's dive into four teams we believe are guaranteed to win in Week 5 of the season.

Trio of AFC teams highlight four teams guaranteed to win in Week 5

Dallas Cowboys (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

If Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield was in for this game, I am not sure the Dallas Cowboys would be guaranteed to win, but this should be a rather easy win for Brian Schottenheimer's club. While the Dallas defense has been rather bad this year, the one thing that just about any defense can handle is an inexperienced QB.

And the Cowboys will play that type of player in Jalon Daniels, who is a rookie and only just now getting his feet wet in the NFL. The Bucs should be able to get into the endzone at least once, but with how prolific the Dallas offense is at home, coupled with the Bucs starting a backup QB and just not having much overall roster talent, the Cowboys will win this one by multiple scores.

Potentially getting to 3-2 in the suddenly weak NFC East would be quite the spot for the Cowboys. With the Philadelphia Eagles current dysfunction, it's not a stretch to think that a 9 or 10-win season would be enough to capture the East.

The Cowboys, with this in mind, simply cannot lose this type of game. While Dallas isn't great by any means, their offense is typically great at home, so that's our main argument here. The Dallas offense is going to be too much for a backup QB to overcome on his side of the ball.

Prediction: Cowboys win 35-17
