Though two weeks in the 2026 NFL Season, there isn't a ton that has emerge as being that surprising. The best and worst teams in the NFL are largely where they should be, but in the coming weeks, we will begin to see this pan out more appropriately.
There appear to be a ton of playoff-caliber teams, and there are bound to be solid, winning football programs that miss the playoffs this year. Even with the NFL having expanded to a 14-team playoff format years ago, there are still winning teams that get left behind.
Anyway, we're going to talk about some teams that just don't have much of a chance to win in Week 3. These five teams, in fact, are guaranteed to lose this coming week.
Aaron Rodgers, starting QB-less teams highlight 5 clubs guaranteed to lose in Week 3
Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Cincinnati Bengals)
The Pittsburgh Steelers have honestly looked horrendous through two weeks of the 2026 season. They got embarrassed by the New England Patriots in Week 2, and it's not like the Patriots have played that well this season.
The main issue with the Steelers is the refusal to take a legitimate approach to the QB room, which has set the franchise back for years. They're now in year two of the Aaron Rodgers era, but Rodgers is far removed from his prime years and might be the 24th-best starter in the NFL right now.
And the talent on both sides of the ball combines to form one of the more irrelevant, middle-of-the-pack rosters in the sport. An average roster with a below-average QB makes for a brutal season.
The Cincinnati Bengals, on the other hand, are off to a neat 2-0 start, as the new-look defense has held their own and did play extremely well against the Houston Texans in Week 2. With how potent th offense can be with Joe Burrow leading the way, we could soon see the Bengals turn into one of the most complete teams in the sport.
Having not been to the playoffs since 2022, the Bengals front office clearly embraced that urgency to retun this offseason with the major defensive moves that were made. At this point, I don't think it's a stretch to say that the Bengals will make a deep playoff run if the roster health is in a good spot when January arrives.
And while Pittsburgh hosts Cincinnati in Week 3, I am not sure there is a single thing that the Steelers do better than the Bengals. Cincy wins this one and moves to 3-0 on the season,
