2. Denver Broncos (6-2)

The Denver Broncos got a huge win over Kansas City and are now the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Denver seems to be up to their late-game tricks again, and last year, that nearly resulted in a trip to the Super Bowl.

Denver's defense has taken a step back this year, and the Broncos can't run the ball well, but this team simply closes out games better than any other team in football, and quarterback Bo Nix is still clutch as ever.

Denver is now 20-5 in the regular season since the start of the 2025 campaign and are now 30-12 since the start of 2024. All this team does is win, and their schedule is quite manageable as the second half of the season approaches.

1. Buffalo Bills (6-1)

Denver and Buffalo play each other on Christmas day in Week 16, and that game could end up being for the top seed in the conference. It will at least give one of the teams a head-to-head tiebreaker over the other, which is major.

The Bills defense is actually among the worst in football, so while this team is No. 1 in the conference, the defense is just flat-out bad right now, and unless that unit figures out how to play better in the coming weeks, the Bills will falter a bit and stack some losses.

Fortunately, they have a generational player at QB in Josh Allen, who can cover up for other roster flaws. In the first year of the Joe Brady era, we are seeing the offense as explosive as ever, but the defense has taken a step back and could be the Bills' undoing this year.

As of now, the Bills would earn the first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs if the standings held.
