Denver Broncos - Juggernaut
The Denver Broncos likely make the Super Bowl in the 2025 season if Bo Nix does not break his ankle. While the Broncos might not have gotten past Seattle, the point is valid. In the offseason, Denver lost two part-time defensive players in Dre Greenlaw and John Franklin-Myers, but they added one of the league's most explosive players in Jaylen Waddle.
The roster got better, as even some of the rookies like running back Jonah Coleman appear to be in line to contribute this year. From the starters down to the depth players, the Broncos are juggernauts. There isn't a major weakness on this roster, and while it's one of the older groups in the league, there is still good, young talent all over the place. Denver is definitely on the short list of actual Super Bowl contenders this year.
Los Angeles Chargers - Ordinary
The Los Angeles Chargers are an ordinary football team. They've made the playoffs each year of the Jim Harbaugh era but have won 11 games each time and have gotten blown out in the Wild Card Round each year, too.
This team is just not special. The roster doesn't overwhelm you anywhere, the QB collapses in the playoffs, and even the key offensive playmakers as a group aren't very threatening. Overall, the Chargers are primed to again hover around 11 wins this year, but there just isn't another gear with this franchise at the moment, and that's a huge problem.
Kansas City Chiefs - Transition
The Kansas City Chiefs used much of their draft capital this year on the defensive side of the ball, and also extended a free agency contract to Kenneth Walker. With how the 2025 season went, the Chiefs are clearly in a bit of a transition, as the team definitely needs to get better at a few positions and have seen many of their key Super Bowl players age out of their prime years.
Simply put, it's time for a new-ish era of Chiefs football, and that could start as early as the 2026 season.
Las Vegas Raiders - Mendoza
After years of QB dysfunction, the Las Vegas Raiders might have someone in Fernando Mendoza. He may not start immediately, but the plan here is to roll out the red carpet for him at some point and try to develop him into the franchise QB. The Raiders might have stumbled into their guy.
