Let's describe each team in the league using just one word.

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks - Repeat

That the goal - the Seattle Seahawks obviously want to repeat as Super Bowl champions this year, and while they did see a good bit of talent walk out the door this offseason, the roster infrastructure is still in a very good spot.

If this team was again playing for the chance to go to the Super Bowl, not many would be surprised. Even in year one of the Mike Macdonald era, the Seahawks won 10 games, so this is a coaching staff that absolutely knows what they are doing.

Los Angeles Rams - All-or-nothing

I am kind of cheating here, but the point stands - the Los Angeles Rams are the one team in a true all-or-nothing season. With the aggressive moves this team made in the offseason, it could not be more clear that this team believes they can win it all, and had the defense not fallen apart down the stretch, the Rams may very well have won it all.

Adding Myles Garrett is also something to mention, as he's not young anymore and may not have a ton of legitimate prime years left, so the Rams front office definitely pushed all of thier chips into this season. It's Super Bowl or bust.

San Francisco 49ers - Injuries...

The San Francisco 49ers are already dealing with injuries, which is less than ideal, and it's something that seems to happen just about every season. The 49ers managed to win 12 games in 2025 despite being injured a ton, but there is clearly some sort of issue with the practicing/training/recovery that they can't put this injury bug behind them.

As of now, it appears like the injuries are again going to remain a bit of a problem as the regular season approaches.

Arizona Cardinals - Tank

The Arizona Cardinals are in a soft 'tank.' While they won't come out and publically admit it, it's quite clear that this team has no path to winning this year. With a bottom-5 roster and no franchise QB in sight, the 2027 NFL Draft is where this team surely hopes to make a major splash to perhaps begin to rebuild.

With that said, there is some legitimate offensive talent that could help a rookie develop when 2027 rolls around, but for the 2026 season, the Cardinals are silently hoping to not win many games this year - or, at least, that's how I believe things are right now.
