Division Leaders

4. Carolina Panthers (3-3)

I just still do not see it with the Carolina Panthers. After winning two rather big games in a row against Philadelphia and Detroit, the Panthers had a major letdown of a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was a thoroughly awful outing across the board, and that loss felt like it halted any progress this team had made this year.

Bryce Young has still mostly played good football this year, so we aren't going to total bury this team, but that was as disappointing a loss as any team has had this year. Despite Carolina only being 3-3, they lead the NFC South and are, at least right now, tracking to win the division for a second season in a row.

They managed to win the division last year wth a measly 8-9 record, and I would have to guess that a 9-8 or 10-7 record and another division title is the 'minimum' that this team needs to accomplish, as they will soon have to make a decision on the future of Young and this coaching staff.

3. New York Giants (4-2-1)

How about those New York Football Giants??

It's been a fun year for the Giants, but it has certainly not gone the way they had thought, as Jaxson Dart is out, and the team has primarily won with a combination of Jameis Winston and JJ McCarthy, who looked like a totally different player in Week 7.

You can clearly tell how immediate John Harbaugh's presence has paid off for this franchise, as they're simply a well-coached team that do not make many mistakes at all. I am not sure the Giants are going to make any sort of playoff run, but with how disastrous the NFC East has been this year, the Giants do appear to be in a really neat spot to capture the division title in 2026 and host a playoff game.
