Philadelphia Eagles (2-2) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1)
Sunday, October 11, 9:30 AM ET (London series)
While this game isn't technically being played under the bright lights of primetime, it's still a standalone game and therefore, worthy of being included in this overall list of predictions.
Sometimes, I make the rules as I go along for these...
At any rate, it's another opportunity to talk about just how disappointing and downright bad the Philadelphia Eagles have been so far this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. This is probably the worst we've seen Jalen Hurts play in his NFL career, and for someone who played with so much confidence in the Super Bowl just two seasons ago, it's almost hard to watch a scenario like we saw at the end of the Eagles' loss at home against the Rams in Week 4.
That loss was expected, but the Philadelphia defense kept it a lot closer than we thought.
Jalen Hurts simply had no pocket presence or awareness at the end of the game, getting sacked twice and looking like he had never been in that type of situation before.
On the other side, the Jaguars are fresh off a very nice win in Cincinnati against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Trevor Lawrence didn't have his most statistically impressive game of the year, but he was smart with the football and made good decisions.
We've seen this Jaguars offense look like one of the most dynamic in the league, and they are just hard to deal with considering how many weapons they have in the passing game.
It says a lot about the state of the Eagles that, on a neutral site, they are 7-point underdogs. And I think the Jaguars can cover.
Prediction: Jaguars win 27-19
