Buffalo Bills (3-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (2-2)
Monday, October 12, 8:15 PM ET
The gauntlet continues for the Buffalo Bills, who were just handed their first loss of the season in Week 4 against the New England Patriots.
Of course, the Bills had to be the "get right" team for Drake Maye. Hopefully, for their sake, that dismal defensive performance can serve as a nice wake-up call going into a road game against Matthew Stafford and the banged-up Rams, who just won in come-from-behind fashion against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road.
This is a matchup featuring the 2024 and 2025 league MVPs, so the stars will be out on Monday night in Week 5.
The question is -- which MVP is going to be able to will his team to victory?
One of the things the Rams and Bills have in common is that, despite having very talented rosters on both sides of the ball, it really seems to come down to whether or not Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen can play like MVPs each week. It doesn't feel like those guys are getting carried to wins, or like they can play a rough game and other areas of the team will carry the burden.
As the QB goes, so these two teams go.
Playing at home, the Rams are just 3-point favorites, which is indicative of the fact that this game is really no more than a toss-up to the oddsmakers.
And that is truly how it feels. Even with the Rams playing at home, it feels like this is a game Buffalo matches up well for. The Rams feel like they're due for a big game offensively, so I'm taking them in a bit of a shootout here.
Prediction: Rams win 34-31
