Dallas Cowboys (2-4) @ Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)

Monday, October 26, 8:15 PM ET

This should have been one of the best matchups of the week, but it's turned into a brutal game that simply has to be played because it's on the schedule.

The Cowboys simply cannot get out of their own way, or play decent enough defense to get anywhere in the NFC East right now.

The Eagles placed quarterback Jalen Hurts on IR and he's likely out for the entire season after the discovery of blood clots in his lungs. That news came after the team had Lane Johnson retire in the middle of the season, Cam Jurgens traded to Baltimore, and obviously no more AJ Brown in the offense.

The Eagles are a mess right now, but the good news for them is that the Cowboys might be worse.

With no Jalen Hurts out there for Philadelphia, there is absolutely no excuse for the Cowboys losing this game. It simply cannot happen.

The Cowboys are going to have to get it done on the road against a defense that has still been tough this year, but you have Dak Prescott and the Eagles are using Tanner McKee. If the Cowboys find a way to lose this game, it will be one of the upsets of the week and will tell us everything we need to know about that team.

The fact that they are marginal 4.5-point favorites on the road speaks volumes about what we've seen this season.

Prediction: Cowboys win 27-20
