NFC Playoff Predictions
1. Los Angeles Rams, 1-2
The Los Angeles Rams will get healthy in the coming weeks and will figure this thing out. While the 1-2 start is probably two full games worse than people thought the team would be, there is no reason to panic right now. This is the most talented team in the sport and have a future Hall of Fame coach at the center of it.
2. Detroit Lions
As I have said before, I am just not ready to quit the Detroit Lions. I love the offense and do believe the defense can play better as the season goes on. Even if the defense finds a way to rank 18th in points allowed, for example, another elite offense would give the Lions enough to come away with the NFC North title for the third time in four seasons.
3. Dallas Cowboys
Another team I am not ready to quit is the Dallas Cowboys - the Philadelphia Eagles don't scare you, and the Cowboys at least have a prolific offense. You also have to give them credit for already addressing the defense with the trade for Joey Porter Jr. Keep an eye on the Cowboys to get better as the season goes on.
4. New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough is the real deal, and with the NFC South being the worst division in football, a potential 9-8 season from the New Orleans Saints would slide them, in all likelihood, into first place in the division and a home playoff game for the first time since the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era.
5. San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco's injuries scare me, and there is a chance that they don't go away as the season goes on. This appears to be another one of those years where the ailments get in the way. It's simply how much of Kyle Shanahan's tenure has gone. The 49ers being 3-0 does give them a major buffer, though, to withstand some of the injuries that don't go away.
6. Seattle Seahawks
I'd not put too much into Seattle's loss against Washington in Week 3. The Seahawks are still among the most talented in the league and know what they're doing from top to bottom. Expect this team to stack some wins together in the coming weeks, but in our Week 4 predictions, they slide into a Wild Card spot due to how good the 49ers and Rams can be.
7. Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are a fun team, and if Week 3 shows us anything, this team is going to be just fine without Caleb Williams. The defense not having much going for them along the defensive line is worrisome, but that didn't really prevent them from success in 2025. Chicago sneaks into the playoffs in our latest predictions.
