10. Green Bay Packers, 3-2

Despite the mounting injuries, the Green Bay Packers have somehow managed to begin to dig out of it. Sitting at 3-2, the Packers are getting some excellent play from QB Jordan Love, but it's impossible to ignore the injuries and how unstable things currently feel.

Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper are both out for the season, to name a few injured players. The offensive line is what it is at this point, I guess, but if nothing else, Love has played well and could, in theory, keep this up.

The Packers, though, have been into the playoffs each year of the Love era, but they have never really ascended into anything more than a 'good, not great' team. That seems to be the case here in 2026.

If they can hang onto things and not totally crash the car, a 9-8 or 10-7 season is on the table, but this team isn't currently in a position to make a run.

9. Detroit Lions, 3-2

The Detroit Lions might have the best QB in the NFL right now in Jared Goff, who has not thrown a single interception this year. Not one. Goff has tossed 12 touchdown passes and is completing 67 percent of his passes.

By all accounts, he and the Lions offense are playing out of this world, but it's the atrocious defense that has made things difficult. The Lions defense, like it did last year, could derail the entire season if it does not get figured out, and that's really the main thing here.

I'd honestly not be shocked if the Lions ended up adding personnel by the trade deadline. With as efficient as the offense has been, it'd be odd to waste another year thanks to the defense. For now, the Lions are coming in at a lower spot, but there is a chance to really shoot up.
