8. Buffalo Bills (3-1)

The Buffalo Bills lost to the dysfunctional Patriots in Week 4, because of course they did. Allen had another shaky game and threw what turned out to be the game-winning interception by the Patriots defense. Allen seemed to throw it right into double coverage, which was certainly a choice.

While the Bills are still a good football team and remain atop the AFC East, this type of game honestly proves that not much has changed with Buffalo - while the team sent Sean McDermott packing and promoted Joe Brady, the identity of Buffalo and what they do well and not so well is the same.

Allen can play like a demi-god at times, but a handful of times a year, he’ll have an abysmal game or two and just make the most head-scratching decisions. But now in 2026, the defense seems to be a bit of a problem, and when Allen has to consistently play hero ball, bad things happen eventually.

Buffalo has some things to figure out after the first quarter of the 2026 NFL Season.

7. Los Angeles Rams (2-2)

I guess this is a good spot for the Los Angeles Rams? The Rams looked dead in the water, as a scoreless third quarter had this team losing 20-10 entering the final frame. A 14-point fourth quarter sealed the deal, though, and now the Rams avoid starting 1-3, which would have felt rather unbelievable if it happened.

Matthew Stafford tossed 317 passing yards, but he did throw two interceptions. He now has six interceptions on the season and four over his last two games. His passer rating has been 74.1 and 63.9 in Weeks 3 and 4. I am not sure it’s wild to think that Stafford is in the middle of a regression given his age, as he did throw eight interruptions all of last year and is now already at that total this year.

His 80.6 passer rating is also nearly 30 points lower than it was in 2025. The Rams should still figure this thing out overall, but this was not the best of wins, and I do believe there are some valid questions brewing with this team.
