4. Seattle Seahawks (3-1)
The Seattle Seahawks are now 3-1 on the season after a huge win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Seahawks did seem to nearly have this game out of reach for the Bolts, as they had led 30-13 when the fourth quarter rolled around, but the Chargers at least made it interesting with 10 fourth quarter points.
Sam Darnold was alright in this one - he went 13/22 for 168 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Seattle allowing 23 points at home is less than ideal, and their defense as a whole has not been that great this year and has not been nearly as good as what we saw for much of the 2025 season.
Seattle was out-gained by the Chargers across the board, too, but a win is a win. The Seahawks are going to remain a winning football team in their current state, but the exit of some former players from 2025, coupled with a handful of injuries, could derail their chances at repeating this year.
But with how messy the NFL has felt this year, the Seahawks should feel great about being 3-1.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)
Remaining undefeated, the Kansas City Chiefs managed to squeak past the Raiders in Week 4. Patrick Mahomes went just 15/30 passing, but he did manage 225 yards and two touchdowns. Kenneth Walker had another outstanding game, carrying the ball 22 times for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyqan Thornton left the game with a gruesome ankle injury, so that is a huge blow to the Chiefs downfield passing attack, but for the time being, they’re 4-0. Where I am concerned with this team for the long-term is with the state of the defense and it not being nearly as talented as it needs to be, and now, the offense without Thornton.
I also believe it’s worth monitoring Walker’s workload. He has been used as a bell-cow running back, but he’s never been that in his career, and I worry about how that could impact him later in the season.
Those might be ‘tomorrow’ things to worry about, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
