24. Atlanta Falcons (1-2)
Atlanta will play on Monday Night Football
The Atlanta Falcons have a huge Monday Night Football game this week against the rival New Orleans. The Falcons perhaps shockingly got back on track, defeating Green Bay on Thursday Night Football.
Both sides of the ball had themselves a game, and if Michael Penix Jr. can stay on the field and play as he did in Week 3, the Falcons could drastically alter the course of their season. Getting to 2-2 in Week 4 would feel significantly different than dropping to 1-3 with a divisional loss.
The Falcons do have plenty of talent on either side of the ball to be one of the more encouraging teams in the league, as it’s really all come down to the QB position for years now.
Atlanta is a fascinating team - they should be able to hang with New Orleans in Week 4 and could win this one. If they do, we might have to begin taking this team a bit more seriously than we did across the first two weeks of the season.
23. Indianapolis Colts (2-2)
It certainly wasn’t the prettiest game for the Indianapolis Colts, but they’re suddenly 2-2 after a shaky 0-2 start. The Colts defeated the Commanders in London in what was the early game on Sunday. Quarterback Daniel Jones tossed just 143 yards and had an interception, but running back Jonathan Taylor managed 95 yards and two touchdowns.
Of all players, Laquon Treadwell led the Colts in receiving. While the Colts are now winners of two in a row, this team feels totally different from how they were playing to begin the 2025 season, and that’s the issue.
Like many other teams in the NFL right now, the Colts just don’t do anything well, and while winning is winning, where will the Colts find advantages over their opponents week to week? Given how shaky the AFC South feels right now, there was a sliver of a chance for the Colts to make some progress this year.
But a failure to build on or continue what began in 2025 is going to ultimately ruin their season in the end.
