2. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos land at the No. 2 spot in our power rankings. The Broncos brought many of their 2025 contributors back in free agency and clearly took a 'run it back' approach, losing just two part-time defensive starters in Dre Greenlaw, who they cut, and John Franklin-Myers, who wasn't even playing half the snaps on defense.
The big-time move Denver made this offseason was to bring in Jaylen Waddle. It's clear that the Broncos didn't want to overdo it and risk overspending and signing the wrong players, as the trade for Waddle was a calculated move that filled a very specific, and needed role on offense.
The Broncos pass-catching unit now feels like one of the best in the league, after being one of the shakiest units these past two seasons. And had QB Bo Nix not broken his ankle in the Divisional Round victory, the Broncos are very likely playing in the Super Bowl against the Seahawks, and it's surely not a blowout.
Denver comes in as the best team in the AFC.
1. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are ridiculous. Not only did this team fill two key needs at cornerback, which were the primary issues on defense to begin with, GM Les Snead decided that Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson were not enough, swinging one of the biggest trades in NFL history, landing Myles Garrett.
And if that was not enough, Los Angeles found a way to coax Aaron Donald out of retirement. Right now, this is the best roster in the league, and it's as close to a super-team as an NFL club can get. If the Rams don't win it all this year, it'd be a horrific failure, but in saying that, it also goes to show you just how loaded and highly-thought-of this team is.
