28. Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons land at No. 28 in our power rankings, but if this team even had an average QB running the show, they'd be about 15 spots higher, to be honest. I was higher on the Falcons earlier in the offseason, as I had thought that this team for Tua Tagovailoa would allow the veteran QB to enjoy a bounce back season.
But it's clear that the former Dolphins starter isn't close to the limited-but-efficient QB he once was. The Falcons, as of my typing this, still have not named a starting QB for the season, which is troubling. The team is also going to be down Jalon Walker for the entire year and James Pearce Jr for about half, so the pass rush is going to take a step back.
And it's quite a shame, as the Falcons do have playoff-caliber talent on offense and could have competed for the NFC South this year if they got better offseason play from Tagovailoa.
27. Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans changed a lot this offseason, specifically bringing in Robert Saleh as the head coach and also hiring Brian Daboll as the offensive coordinator. With Saleh, the defense could play with an edge that's been missing for years, and Daboll could end up getting the most out of Cam Ward, their second-year QB.
Right now, though, the Titans are missing a good bit of talent and are coming off another losing season. Ward also isn't guaranteed to take a step forward this year, and with his struggles in the preseason, we may have to pump the brakes on the hype until he can prove otherwise.
If all comes together for the Titans, they could potentially reach seven-ish wins, which could set the stage for a true breakout in 2027. For now, they're still among the worst in the league,
