6. Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders

Kirk Cousins has been outstanding this year. Outstanding.

It's honestly quite a shock, as the Las Vegas Raiders look and feel like a playoff team right now. Yes, the roster still has a ways to go, but being 3-1 at the quarter mark is no easy task, and the good play the Raiders are getting from Cousins needs talked about.

Cousins leads the conference in touchdown passes, but he has thrown four interceptions already, so that puts him on pace for 17 across a full season. His completion percentage of 64.6 is fine but nothing spectacular, but he is averaging over 250 yards per game.

His 93 completions are tied for the second-most in the conference as well, and he's doing this with a very below-average wide receiver group.

We'll see how long this can be sustained, but Cousins has played at a high level many times throughout his career, and he did enjoy some rather insane seasons with Minnesota, statistically speaking, over the years. Cousins time as a starter in the NFL is definitely winding down, but he's made the most of his chances this year.

5. Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence has been awesome this year and is No. 5 in our power rankings. He has eight touchdown passes, a 73 QBR, and a 111.2 passer rating. Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are now 16-5 since the start of 2025, and it does feel sustainable. Lawrence has been on this heater since about the midway point of last year.

Lawrence had an up-and-down career until the team brought in Liam Coen last year, as there was never any long-term stability put in place until his hiring, and for a while there, I did truly think that Lawrence just wasn't going to be a special QB, but as we can all see, all it took was the right coaching staff to tap into his potential.
