28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5)

Whenever a team has to start a backup QB for any period of time, you are naturally a lot lower on them. However, this was a rather encouraging performance from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, even if it resulted in a loss. The Buccaneers ended up being up 16-3 when the fourth quarter rolled around, but what we did see is how starting a rookie QB eventually caught up to them.

Jalon Daniels completed 22 of his 43 passes, but he had just 164 yards and did have two interceptions. Tampa Bay is now 1-5 on the season, but Baker Mayfield should be returning soon. Believe it or not, the NFC South still feels wide open, as the Buccaneers being 1-5 is somehow not something that has them totally out of the mix.

But even if the Bucs were able to make a run this year, it would not result in anything, as this roster is flawed, and head coach Todd Bowles has come into question lately - it doesn’t appear like he’s a head coach worth keeping around given how much losing this team has done lately.

27. Indianapolis Colts (2-4)

Can we please begin the process of tearing this operation down? The Indianapolis Colts are a flat-out pathetic franchise at the moment. This team has needed a complete rebuild for years now, and dropping a divisional game at home to a winless team in what is probably a ‘playoff mandate’ year is inexcusable.

The Colts need to be active sellers at the NFL trade deadline - they should try to get what they can get for many of their aging veterans and anyone else on expiring deals, and I am not sure the GM is someone who should keep his job, either.

It’s really quite sad, as the fans deserve better, but years of missing on the QB position and only putting Band-Aids on the most important position in sports has caught up to this team big-time.

What else do we have to say? The Colts are a bad, and perhaps disappointing franchise at the moment, as they take a huge tumble in our power rankings.
