Oh, the NFL is back, ladies and gentlemen, and with it comes the unfortunate news of the injury bug returning for another season. No one likes it, but injuries are always going to have a place in a contact sport because, well, contact with other players. In fairness, not every injury involves contact, which is strangely the most debilitating.
Not all injuries are built the same, however. Some guys may miss a lot of time, and others not so much with the same ailments. The reality of the situation is it all depends on the severity of the situation and how a player responds to the treatment they receive.
Unfortunately, it is time to power rank the most impactful injuries from the previous week that will affect plans for a team heading into Week 2 of the season. The rankings will go from least impactful to the most impactful. Let’s not wait any longer and dive right into it.

10. DJ Moore
The DJ Moore experiment is off to a fantastic start for the Buffalo Bills. Through one game, he has 100 yards and a touchdown, showing why Josh Allen having a reputable wide receiver on the roster could be a problem for defenses this year. Unfortunately, Moore picked up an injury and was not able to return to the game.
The ailment, said to be a lower leg issue, does not seem severe, as Moore was able to return to the game for Buffalo’s final scoring drive. As such, he should not be at risk of missing any time due to this injury. If there was much, or any, concern over Moore and his lower leg, he likely would not have seen the field after sustaining it, making his return a promising sign for the Bills.
9. Brock Bowers
Even before the season kicked off for the Las Vegas Raiders, the team lost its top tight end, Brock Bowers, as he went in for a meniscus trim. The good news for the Raiders is that the team has plenty of depth at the position. The bad news is that Bowers was the top receiving target on the team.
With Bowers expected to miss a week or two, someone will need to step up and become a leading target for the time being. The problem for Las Vegas is its pass-catching room as a whole, as it is just a lot of 'dudes' who have not established themselves in the league. At least one of these guys has a golden opportunity to step up and make a name for themselves with Bowers gone for the beginning of the season, and could potentially gain a bigger role in the offense moving forward.
