5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers' wide receiver room

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dealing with a pair of key injuries in the wide receiver room heading into Week 1 of the season. Emeka Egbuka is dealing with a toe injury and is back at practice. The second-year receiver seems likely to play for the Buccaneers to begin the campaign, but he is not the only pass catcher dealing with an ailment in Tampa Bay.

Jalen McMillan is dealing with a knee injury heading into the start of the season. He did, though, return to practice on Monday, which is positive news, but if he still misses time, expect Ted Hurst, Tez Johnson, Kameron Johnson, or an amalgamation of all three to have plenty of repetitions with the starting offense.

4. Arizona Cardinals’ running back room

Much like the Buccaneers, the Arizona Cardinals are dealing with multiple injuries to a particular position, in this case, the running backs. Trey Benson will miss the entire season. James Conner was placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the first four games of the upcoming season.

Rookie running back Jeremiyaqh Love has an ankle injury. There is no word on whether or not the first-year player will be ready to go for the opening game of the season. However, if he misses any time early in the campaign, Tyler Allgeier would assume the lead back duties for the Cardinals, and Bam Knight will be the backup for as long as Love is out, until the rookie returns and likely takes up a bigger role in the offense with each passing week.
