12. Houston Texans (1-4)
The Houston Texans won a game! Houston has started slow rather regularly in the DeMeco Ryans-CJ Stroud era, and it's just an odd thing given how good these rosters have been. What we have seen thus far is a defense that has regressed from the past couple of seasons, and an offensive line and running back room that can't produce on the ground.
Stroud has honestly played pretty well this year, and given how talented this team is, it is probably only a matter of time before this team starts stacking some wins together, but they are 1-4 for a reason.
There has to be some sort of coaching disconnect at play, and Ryans taking back defensive play-calling could be something that helps fix that. Houston isn't totally out of it yet, but you definitely struggle to see how this team replicates what they did in 2025.
11. Cleveland Browns (3-2)
The Cleveland Browns are still a fun team, and they're still 3-2 on the season. QB Deshaun Watson has still played a lot better this year than he had in any other year of his Browns tenure, but he is still a flawed QB. He's been sacked 19 times already and is averaging just 202 passing yards per game.
What we're seeing with Watson might be his absolute ceiling at this point, but he hasn't necessarily been bad, and the Browns do have a lot of young, fun talent that could help this team establish something for the long-term.
And head coach Todd Monken has definitely left a positive mark thus far. Simply put, the Browns are far from a great team, but there are so many other squads that are in a much worse situation. Cleveland comes in at No. 11 in our power rankings.
