12. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers come in at No. 12 in our power rankings. Micah Parsons seems to be trending toward missing a good chunk of action in 2026, but Tucker Kraft appears to be trending toward suiting up for Week 1. The Packers have left a lot of meat on the bone in recent years. Quarterback Jordan Love has won exactly 9 games in each year of his starting career, and that includes the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where he played in 15 games each seasons.
Love has a small injury concern that has to go away if this team hopes to take that next step, and that’s really the main thing here - we’ve all seen the Packers make the playoffs, as it’s one of the least surprising things in the NFL when it happens.
But they’ve fallen flat on their face at times and just haven’t been able to truly break through. Being in the NFC doesn’t help, as the NFC is flat-out loaded, and I’d also add that the Packers aren’t really oozing with talent, either.
This is one of the more ‘good’ rosters in the NFL, so there are some small front office concerns that are present here as well.
11. Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are in a similar tier to the Packers. In each of the last two seasons, the Chargers have done 11-6 in the regular season but gotten blown out in the Wild Card Round. Quarterback Justin Herbert is now 0-3 in the playoffs in his career with three forgettable performances.
I’m also not sure what the Chargers did this offseason that would make us believe they’ll emerge as a contender. The roster is good, but not special, and the same could be said for the QB as well, who has been the same B+ player his entire career.
Oddly, the front office didn’t seem to be as aggressive in fixing the offensive line as many thought they’d be, which is still baffling today. Overall, though, Los Angeles knows how to win games, and they’ll likely be good for 10-12 wins this year, but that’s really been the ceiling
