26. New York Giants
This next slide features two teams that really need to go out there and prove it, but have fun ceilings. The New York Giants hiring John Harbaugh this offseason was a great move, but this franchise has been the epitome of dysfunction for years, and it might take more than the 2026 season to change the culture of this franchise.
Jaxson Dart, though, did amass 24 touchdowns during his rookie season in just 14 games, and while he was playing erratically at times, he also has the foundation to be a legitimate franchise quarterback. There is a lot of 'if' attached to the Giants for 2026, but at the same time, there is a lot to be excited about.
If the Giants hung around the NFC playoff race for a little while and kept around .500, I'd not be surprised. However, Harbaugh hasn't exactly been a top-notch head coach in recent years and might be closer to being a floor-raiser than a ceiling-raiser.
25. Atlanta Falcons
Another NFC team with a new, veteran head coach, the Atlanta Falcons might have a realistic shot at winning the NFC South this year. That's all going to hinge on if Tagovailoa can win the starting job and stay on the field for all 17 games, but he does have a career winning record and was a high-end, prolific passer in the 2022-2024 seasons.
We simply can't pretend like he hasn't been a good QB before. Kevin Stefanski is also a two-time Coach of the Year, so there are some things to be excited about, but Jalon Walker is out for the year, and while Tagovailoa does have a path to succeeding this year, he was also downright awful in 2025 and may be seeing these injuries catching up to him.
For now, the Falcons are low in our rankings.
