10. Atlanta Falcons (2-3)

The Atlanta Falcons might suddenly be a very fun team, and you really have to wonder if Week 5's result is different had Michael Penix Jr. hadn't left the game with a rib injury. Tua Tagovailoa tossed what some would call a 'meatball sub' to Kyle Hamilton, which clinched the victory for Baltimore.

The Falcons sitting at 2-3, though, isn't putting them in a tough spot in the NFC South. That division is quite weak, and if Penix is actually going to be able to continue playing this well, not only can the Falcons win the division, but they'd also likely feel very comfortable moving forward with Penix in 2027 and perhaps beyond.

The defense has been really fun this year, and there is enough talent on offense to see Penix take that step into franchise QB territory. While it is early, things are pointing in the right direction for this starved franchise.

9. New York Giants (3-1-1)

The New York Giants have just one loss. One!

The G-Men are just one of three teams in the NFC with one loss or fewer, but when you look at how this team is winning (or tying) games, you kind of realize that they're just nothing special overall. Jaxson Dart is likely missing the rest of the season, and as I have said before, this would be an entirely different discussion if the Giants were 3-1-1 with Dart, as he'd likely be playing some really awesome football.

With that said, Jameis Winston is a fun player and can actually be a high ceiling QB when he's not throwing the ball directly to the opponent. The hiring of John Harbaugh also seems to be paying off immediately, as the Giants are playing with, for the most part, discipline that had been missing in prior seasons.
