6. Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahan, San Francisco 49ers
Brock Purdy isn't a special QB, but the duo of Purdy and Kyle Shanahan are quite the potent bunch for the San Francisco 49ers. Thus far, Purdy has amassed a stellar 30-15 regular season record and a 5-3 playoff record, which does include a Super Bowl appearance back in 2023.
Purdy also owns a career passer rating of 104 and has a triple-digit passer rating in three of his four seasons. And even in 2024, his rating was a still a solid 96.1. The 49ers are a winning organization, and both Purdy and Shanahan have been at the center of it for a near half-decade now.
While it's not very conventional how the 49ers ended up with Purdy, they did, and they've enjoyed a ton of success from his draft selection thus far. There are some injury concerns with Purdy, but he and Shanahan have proven themselves to be a winning duo so far.
5. Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel, New England Patriots
Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel helped the New England Patriots do a total 180 from the 2024 into the 2025 season, and it ended with a Super Bowl berth. Maye himself finished second in the MVP voting, and Vrabel won the Coach of the Year award. While the Patriots did enjoy an insanely easy schedule, winning is winning, and no one apologizes for it.
Vrabel also does have a successful time as a head coach in this league dating back to his time with the Tennessee Titans, and if the 2025 season tells us anything about how good Maye can be, the Pats are going to be AFC juggernauts for years to come.
There is room for this duo to improve, but a potential regression due to a tougher schedule in 2026 could also give them a chance to drop.
