4. Jared Goff and Dan Campbell, Detroit Lions
Over the past four seasons for the Detroit Lions, Jared Goff and Dan Campbell have helped the team to four-straight winning seasons, two playoff appearances, and two division titles, coming in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The Lions won 27 regular season games during that stretch as well, and Goff has been out of his mind as a passer. Goff has 13 more touchdown passes since 2022 than the next closest player.
Goff has 130 touchdown passes since that 9-8 season in 2022. Sure, the team missed the playoffs this year, but that was largely due to a defense that just could not stay healthy. What Goff and Campbell have done for the Lions franchise is outstanding and worthy of recognition, and if that defense can simply be average in 2026, this team will be right back at the top of the NFC North and into the playoffs for the third time in four seasons.
3. Sam Darnold and Mike Macdonald, Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold and Mike Macdonald helped the Seattle Seahawks to a 14-3 regular season record and a Super Bowl title. While Darnold did actually struggle with turnovers, he proved to be plenty good enough for Seattle to win it all. Darnold did see his touchdown passes drop, and his interceptions increase, but he did have the highest yards per attempt of his career and second-highest yards per completion of his career.
Darnold is a good QB, not a great one, but his best is good enough, and as for Macdonald, his defensive expertise is evident, and his ability to lead a team makes him one of the best in the NFL. Together, Darnold and Macdonald come in at No. 3 in our power rankings. Seattle also has what it takes to repeat as champions in 2026.
