2. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs
Both Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are all-time greats at what they do, and both will end up in the Hall of Fame one day. The Chiefs have won three Super Bowls in the Mahomes/Reid era, which also includes five total appearances and a ton of AFC West titles.
Mahomes himself is a two-time league MVP and is already climbing all-time QB ranks in statistics like passing yards and passing touchdowns. The Chiefs also made the playoffs each year of the Mahomes' starting era outside of 2025, but they were still in the race for much of the season.
A six-win campaign in 2025 does bump them down a slot, as the offense, overall, has looked a bit limp and disjointed the past few seasons, but that simply could be because the personnel isn't what it used to be.
With Mahomes primed to return from his knee injury, the Chiefs may have all the motivation in the world to get back into the playoffs.
1. Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams
Another future Hall of Fame duo, Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay top our power rankings. They helped the Los Angeles Rams win it all back in 2021, and all they did this year was rank first in points score and have Stafford win the MVP.
Had it not been for a shaky defense down the stretch, the Rams very likely would have won it all in 2025, and it feels like most of us can agree that the Rams are the favorite for the Super Bowl this year. Stafford has been a high-end passer his entire career, and McVay instantly made a positive impact for the Rams and is already approaching all-time head coaching history in playoff wins.
There isn't a better QB/HC duo in the NFL right now.
