3. Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills land at No. 3 in our contender rankings, and while you might roll your eyes given the team's years-long playoff heartbreaks, they've also been in the playoffs each year since the 2019 season and simply know how to win football games.
The Bills are a mainstay atop the NFL and have been to the AFC Championship Game two times in the Josh Allen era. Allen himself actually has the most playoff wins of a QB who has not started in a Super Bowl. With that said, the Bills made Joe Brady the head coach and also added wide receiver DJ Moore in a trade, so those two additions could be the ones that finally get them over the hump and also present legitimate change from last year.
2. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos might have been a healthy ankle away from making the Super Bowl last year. Bo Nix broke his ankle in the AFC Divisional Round against Buffalo and was not able to play in the AFC title game. From top to bottom, the Broncos have the best roster in the AFC, gave Nix a new weapon in Jaylen Waddle, and are returning the third-best scoring defense from the prior season.
The Broncos truly have it all and could again earn the AFC's top playoff seed and make Super Bowl LXI.
1. Los Angeles Rams
Adding Myles Garrett in a trade, along with adding a pair of starting cornerbacks in Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, the Los Angeles Rams top our contender power rankings. The Rams were viewed as a Super Bowl-caliber team last year, but the defense definitely began to fall apart near the end of the regular season and in the playoffs.
With the trio of major additions the Rams made, coupled with already having the league's top scoring offense, LA is well-positioned to run away with the division title and play in Super Bowl LXI this year.
