10. New York Giants
The closer we get to the start of the 2026 season, the more bullish I am that the New York Giants are going to be the breakout team in the NFC.
Yes, it will require them to largely stay healthy, but I'm buying all of the Jaxson Dart stock you possibly can before the start of the season.
Dart's rookie season was more impressive than anyone is realizing. He had a total of 24 touchdowns (15 passing, 9 rushing) in just 14 games, and he did that with a shaky offensive line, a coaching staff on the way out, no Malik Nabers, and injuries taking weapons out left and right.
The Giants have a veteran head coach who can raise the floor of the team and help them situationally. They have a ton of pass rush talent. They have a stud at quarterback. They could have something special brewing...if they can stay healthy.
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This is the lowest I've been on the Buccaneers in the post-Tom Brady era. Baker Mayfield has typically inspired a lot of confidence in the way I perceive the Bucs, but there's just something about this team that has me really skeptical with the season at the doorstep.
The Bucs feel like they -- as a team -- have one foot in the door and one foot out.
Todd Bowles very much feels like a head coach on the hot seat to start the season. Vita Vea was asking out before the Bucs gave him a one-year deal to come back. Baker Mayfield wasn't happy with contract negotiations, and could be gone after the season.
After the collapse this team had in the second half of the 2025 season, the arrow is pointing down for them right now, but we've seen how good they can be.
