Now that Week 13 is about over, we have an even better view of the NFL Playoff Picture in both conferences, and the regular season games are only going to begin to mean more in the coming weeks.
This week was special, as no team was on the bye, and we had three Thanksgiving Day games and one Black Friday game, while also still having Sunday Night Football and obviously will finish up with Monday Night Football.
It's close to the best time of the NFL season, and the quarterback hierarchy has taken shape even more, as well. We have our latest QB power rankings, and there is a ton of movement. As we have done, our rankings are largely based on the total body of work for the QBs, but we also put a little bit more of an emphasis on the current week's performance, so let's get into it here.
NFL QB Rankings, Week 14: Lamar Jackson falling in latest power rankings
32. Max Brosmer, Minnesota Vikings
I think we all expected Max Brosmer not to look good in his first NFL start, but this was another level. Brosmer tossed four interceptions on the day and went 19/30 for 126 yards. There was absolutely nothing positive to take from this performance, as the Minnesota Vikings were shut out by the Seattle Seahawks and now drop to 4-8 on the season.
The Vikings probably need some major change to get this franchise back to what they were just one year ago, and it’s clear that they made multiple wrong moves at the most important position in all of sports.
31. Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders
It’s another loss for the Las Vegas Raiders and another forgettable performance from Geno Smith. The Raiders drop to 2-10 with the loss and simply cannot do anything well. It feels like we say this every week, but it’s baffling that the Raiders traded legitimate NFL Draft capital for Smith, who has been one of the worst QBs in the NFL this year.
The Raiders again need to blow this thing up after doing just that last offseason. Vegas began to make people believe after hiring Pete Carroll and trading for Smith. They then used a top-10 NFL Draft pick on Ashton Jeanty.
All three of those moves do not seem to be the right ones, but the whiff on Smith is the worst of them all.
