10. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)
The Pittsburgh Steelers barely beat the Atlanta Falcons at home in Week 1. Not all wins are created equal, folks. The Steelers have an extremely low ceiling as long as Aaron Rodgers is taking snaps at QB. Many of their key players are also getting up there in age and past their prime years as well.
While Pittsburgh could hang around the AFC Wild Card race, the team just doesn't have enough top-end talent to make progress late in the season, and a non-playoff year might be precisely what this franchise needs.
I guess the defense could be stingy, but the offense has a pretty low ceiling and won't be able to hang with some of the top teams in the conference. Thanks to a ton of injuries plaguing other AFC North teams last year, and a missed field goal, the Steelers were able to win the division.
That type of thing just won't happen this year, and unless Rodgers can somehow find the fountain of youth, they'll not accomplish much.
9. Los Angeles Chargers (0-1)
The way the Los Angeles Chargers lost to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 is rather concerning. One huge issue with the Chargers is that the overall roster talent is fine, but nothing more than that, and the depth just isn't that good.
It's a huge reason why they've topped out at 11-6 and a Wild Card Round loss in 2024 and 2025. Notably, though, the interior of the offensive line is still a major mess, and it's not super clear if Justin Herbert is actually good enough to lead this team beyond the first round of the postseason.
That's a conversation we can have when January rolls around, but this team just doesn't threaten you much of anywhere right now, and the ugly Week 1 loss was rather inexcusable.
