6. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)
It was not the easiest win, but the Cincinnati Bengals did do enough to capture the victory. Starting out 1-0 already feels like a major win given how slowly this team has typically started throughout the Zac Taylor era.
The main 'thing' with the Bengals this year is the defense, and as we have said for months now, all this unit has to do is be average for Cincy to find their way back into the playoffs, a place they have not been since the 2022 season.
On paper, they seem to have one of the more stable rosters in the sport, but the Bengals have also been a team that gets in their own way from time to time. Furthermore, Joe Burrow isn't exactly someone who is reliable in staying on the field. All in all, the 1-0 start is nice, but there is still a good bit that this team needs to prove.
5. Denver Broncos (0-1)
The Denver Broncos got blown out in Week 1. Blown. Out.
The Kansas City Chiefs went in with a clear plan and executed it almost perfectly. While the Chiefs won't be able to continue deploying an offensive gameplan like we saw, it worked when it needed to. As for the Broncos, this roster is simply too good for the team not to bounce back and scrape together double-digit wins.
They've won 24 regular season games since the start of the 2024 season and did not only start 0-2 in 2024, but also started 1-2 in 2025. The slow starts are normal for the Sean Payton-led Broncos, as silly as that sounds.
Denver does have a gauntlet of a schedule the next five weeks, but it lightens up a good bit after that.
Getting to 3-3 would set the team up nicely to go on a nice run and get that record some buffer.
