4. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)
The Kansas City Chiefs might be back, and if that is the case, the entire AFC is going to look different. The Chiefs do have some roster shortfalls at several positions, and with this only being Week 1, a lot can change.
The Chiefs just did not throw the ball down the field in Week 1, which was likely by design but something that cannot remain the case in future weeks. The defense is also not as talented as you'd like it to be, but it's clear that the addition of Kenneth Walker was one major thing this offense was missing.
It would not at all be wise to doubt the Chiefs though, and in out latest AFC power rankings, we're giving them a ton of credit for not just beating the Broncos, but picking them apart and flat-out embarrassing them on a primetime stage.
Kansas City might be all the way back. Might.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)
Jacksonville's win over the Browns was impressive, but it was only the Browns. The Jaguars won 13 games last year, and if this offense continues to display efficiency, and the defense continues to be stingy, it would not be outrageous to suggest that another 13-win season is coming.
The roster is still a year or two away of where the de-facto 'final form' should be, but the coaching is just outstanding across the board. We may have to start talking about the Jaguars in the same tier as the very top teams in the league - not just the AFC.
Jacksonville does travel to Denver in Week 2, which is a tough place to play no matter what. They did blow out the Broncos in Denver last year, though, so they've also won in tough places and have beaten some great teams.
Keep an eye on the Jaguars.
