2. Baltimore Ravens (1-0)
Baltimore started 1-5 in 2025 primarily due to a ton of injuries. Simply put, the Ravens staying healthier than last year is going to yield more wins. It's never been about a lack of roster talent with this team. In Week 1, the Ravens really poured in on the Colts in typical Ravens fashion, as they ran the heck out of the ball and capitalized on big-time passing plays.
The Ravens parted with John Harbaugh this offseason and brought back and old friend in Jesse Minter to run the show. If the defense can stabilize, and the offense sees its keep players staying on the field, this could quickly become a top team in the league once again.
Baltimore has a future Hall of Fame QB and running back with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, and it'll be those two that the team continues to lean on throughout the season. Their Week 1 in was no fluke and proof of how good they can be.
1. Buffalo Bills (1-0)
The Bills won in an offensive shootout over the Texans. Josh Allen was dominant and overwhelming at times, as the Joe Brady era got off to a wicked start. Buffalo did have an offensive focus this offseason, trading for DJ Moore and promoting the offensive-minded Brady to head coach.
There are still some questions as to whether the defense can rebound after struggling to stop the run last year, but with how many new faces the unit has and perhaps some development along the defensive line, that unit, now run by Jim Leonhard, can see some improvement in key areas.
Buffalo earns the top spot in our AFC power rankings as Week 1 ends. The Bills figure to be near the top of the AFC throughout the entire season, as usual.
