4. Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have had no issues winning a ton of games and making the playoffs most years in the Lamar Jackson era. That took a break in 2025, primarily due to a ton of injuries in the beginning of the year.
If that simply does not happen, this roster is going to trample over many of their opponents, as Derrick Henry still seems to be his old self, and Jackson has been a top QB in this league since 2019. The Ravens honestly check all the boxes, and now with a new head coach in the mix, there is always a chance the ceiling is higher.
3. Seattle Seahawks
Seattle is without Sam Darnold, but his injury doesn't appear to be anything too serious. The Seahawks got past the New England Patriots in Week 1 and should be just fine for the short-term with Drew Lock at QB.
The roster is still excellent, and the Seahawks did just win it all. While it's much tougher to repeat as champions than to win just one, it's on the table for Seattle until it isn't.
2. Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles will be just fine. This is the best, most talented team in the NFL, and the coming weeks will begin to show that. Myles Garrett will soon return to play, and the team will eventually get whatever Aaron Donald is able to do.
The Rams have the reigning MVP in Matthew Stafford and an offense with several legitimate play-makers. Los Angeles' Week 1 loss is honestly why you shouldn't put a ton of stock into Week 1 results, as this example is a perfect one of why Week 1 is a liar.
1. Buffalo Bills
Buffalo's heavy offensive output against Houston has them topping our power rankings. While the defense struggled, that did seem to be a theme across the league in Week 1, so perhaps we're beginning to see a shift back to the offenses having the advantage...?
Most things in life, frankly, are cyclical, as the defenses have recently gotten the better of offenses in recent years, but we could soon be returning to the day of the 2010s where QBs were putting on laser shows each week.
Even if the Bills would have lost in Week 1, this team has established itself enough to be looked at as a contender. While their playoff heartbreaks are getting ridiculous, they do consistently have the foundation to win it all.
