12. Chicago Bears (1-1)

The NFL world stopped for a second when Caleb Williams went down, and it turned out to be a hamstring injury, which somehow feels like the best-case scenario, considering some thought it could have been a torn ACL or Achilles tendon.

The Bears lost to Minnesota in Week 2, and this type of game the Bears played really goes to show you, as I have been saying for a while, and others have said, that Week 1 is often a liar.

Chicago is ‘human’ after all. At this point, getting some clarity on William’ hamstring injury is key. If it’s a major injury, he’ll be out for quite some time.

As a side note, though, the Bears are a good, fun team, but the defense just doesn’t seem to be good enough to make a deep run, and if Williams misses some time, the Bears could quickly fall behind in the NFC North race.

11. New Orleans Saints (1-1)

The Saints, people! The Saints!!

New Orleans rocks. This is going to be a really fun, perhaps even good football team this year. The Saints are a two-point conversion away from being 2-0 to start the season, and while this team was 2-0 to begin the 2024 NFL Season, this team feels a lot different.

Second-year QB Tyler Shough has largely been awesome thus far and had a 107.4 passer rating in Week 2. He has four touchdown passes through the first two games of the season and is playing like a franchise QB, period.

If Shough does develop into a franchise passer, the Saints will cruise with the NFC South title, and while this might be premature to say - I don’t think it’s wild to suggest that Shough is the best QB in the division at the moment. While I might be getting ahead of myself after a 1-1 start, it’s the way this team has played football through two weeks that makes me optimistic, not necessarily the record.

When we’re through 12 games and the Saints are 7-5, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
