28. Washington Commanders (0-2)

The Washington Commanders are now 0-2 on the season and saw quarterback Jayden Daniels go down with a dislocated left elbow. It's another brutal injury for Daniels, who played in just seven games last year due to injuries.

The Commanders also lost in blowout fashion to Dallas, and you get the sense that things are quickly trending in the wrong direction. It feels like this could be a team that makes some sort of major coaching move in the coming weeks, as it doesn't feel like they have much of anything going for them.

And if Daniels has to miss time, that further adds to the mess that the team is in right now.

Washington is No. 28 in our power rankings with no real way to dig themselves out of this mess.

27. Cleveland Browns (1-1)

The Browns...?

The Browns! Credit where it's due - the Browns played a solid game, Watson more than held his own, and this team deserved every bit of their Week 2 victory. I guess it's not always smart to continually dog on teams that we think are among the worst in the league, as those teams still do have NFL players.

Cleveland isn't an exception, either. Yes, this team isn't likely going to win many more games this year, but this was a great win and the first of the Todd Monken era, a coach who was thrown into a rather impossible situation with this job.

The Browns still have the same issues they had after Week 1, so it's still worth mentioning that this franchise is firmly in the dysfunctional tier and need a lot to change when 2026 is up.

The Browns give themselves a bit of breathing room in our latest power rankings, as they move up to No. 27.
