18. Green Bay Packers (1-1)
Green Bay won in Week 2, but both Jayden Reed and Zach Bako-Bewele suffered major injuries. They also barely got past the Jets in overtime, so while the win was nice, this also doesn’t mean the Packers don’t have major issues to look at.
The team may be down two key players now, and after blowing a Week 1 lead last week, barely scraping by the Jets does make you wonder if this team is in the correct hands, coaching staff-wise.
While that may seem like a major jump to make, what about this team sticks out? I do believe some of the blame needs to be put on the front office, but between the roster-building and lack of a clear team identity, the Packers just feel a bit empty right now.
The Packers need to figure something out, and fast, as the NFC North isn’t going to wait up for them, but I am just not sure there is enough raw talent on this roster for the team to be anything more than average this year.
And with how long this current front office/coaching staff era has gone on, you almost wonder if time should be running out.
17. Houston Texans (0-2)
It’s another 0-2 start for the Houston Texans, who didn’t seem to have any answers in Week 2. For how talented this team is, you just have to scratch your head and wonder why they get off to such poor starts.
Take last year, for example. Houston started 0-3 last year but finished the season 12-5. The 2026 season could end up being more of the same, but not only has CJ Stroud not been great this year, but even the defense has left some meat on the bone so far.
The Texans are in good hands with DeMeco Ryans, who is a great head coach, and do have enough talent to stack some wins, but starting 0-2 has to leave a bad taste in your mouth.
