8. Houston Texans (0-2)
How soon is this Houston Texans team going to be able to turn things around?
Keep in mind that last season, the Texans started off the 2025 season 0-3, then sat at 3-5 at the midway point of the season before ripping off 10-straight wins, including a victory in the playoffs over the Pittsburgh Steelers. And if the elements hadn't been as bad of a factor, who knows how different their game against the Patriots could have been?
We're not going to panic about this team, by any means. They've also lost to the Bills and Bengals, certainly not any slouches in the AFC right now.
7. Las Vegas Raiders (2-0)
Let's put a little bit of respect on what the Las Vegas Raiders are doing so far this season.
It's clear that their decision to wait for Klint Kubiak as their next head coach was the right one. Kubiak has been a head coach in waiting for quite some time, and he's taking advantage of his first opportunity, looking like a Coach of the Year candidate in the process.
The Raiders have pulled off two impressive wins to start the year. Yes, they beat the Dolphins in Week 1, but the win against the Chargers in Week 2 was big. This Raiders team is playing well on both sides of the ball, and now they're about to get Brock Bowers back just in time to face the Saints on the road in Week 3.
6. Baltimore Ravens (1-1)
The Ravens absolutely boat-raced the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, and appeared on their way to doing the same to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.
And then they didn't.
The Ravens blew a lead against the Saints, watching as Tyler Shough threw for 252 yards and accounted for a pair of touchdowns. The Jesse Minter defense has been maniacal in the best possible way in the past, but the Ravens are now in need of a bounce-back in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, who have been one of the best offenses at home in the NFL in recent years.
5.Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)
Dating back to the midway point of the 2025 season, there have been few teams hotter than the Jacksonville Jaguars. Since Week 11 of last year, they had a +177 point differential, the most in the NFL over that timeframe by 81 points.
After Sunday's game against the Broncos, that point margin is down to +170 since Week 11 last year. The Jaguars looked like they were in control over the Broncos with a 13-3 lead in the 3rd quarter, and then the wheels started to come off. Trevor Lawrence started making brutal decisions with the football, and the Jacksonville defense couldn't contain Jaylen Waddle.
The Jaguars have a chance to bounce back this week against the Patriots, but that defense is going to give them another serious test.
