4. Denver Broncos (1-1)
The Broncos were embarrassingly bad in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. If there were any believers of this team going into the season, there weren't many left after that blowout loss on the road.
The Broncos missed nearly 30 percent of their tackles against the Chiefs. The offense looked inept. They looked overmatched. All of the offseason talk about this team being overrated seemed to be validated.
And then they played the Jaguars.
The Broncos were impressive in a come-from-behind win over the Jags, scoring 17 unanswered points to close out a 20-13 victory. The defense looked like its usual elite self, but the offense was really impressive in the second half. That Jaylen Waddle addition finally paid off in a big way.
3. Cincinnati Bengals (2-0)
We've all been wondering what the Cincinnati Bengals could look like with a competent defense.
Now, we don't have to wonder.
The Bengals' defense looks completely different here in 2026 than we have seen in recent years, and they might even be able to carry this team. Let's not get carried away, though.
They completely stifled the Houston Texans in Week 2, allowing just 12 first downs the entire game and only 6 points. They forced four takeaways in Week 1. They have the league's 3rd-best run defense through two games. Things are looking up for a team that hasn't reached the postseason since 2022.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)
The rest of the NFL world doesn't want this to be true, but the Kansas City Chiefs look very much back.
After their dominating performance in Week 1, the Chiefs' offense was borderline unstoppable once again in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. Although the Colts had a lot more success against Kansas City's defense than the Broncos did, Patrick Mahomes and company were able to respond to just about everything.
And unlike their offensive performance in Week 1, this one was explosive on the ground and through the air. Mahomes was connecting with all of his targets at every level of the field. He looks like the Mahomes of old. If there were any questions about his abilities post-knee injury, they've been erased in just two games.
1. Buffalo Bills (2-0)
There is not a single player in the NFL right now who is on the same plane as Josh Allen as a player. He's simply an unstoppable force.
He racked up five more touchdowns in a Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions, bringing him up to nine total touchdowns through the first two games of the season.
Cue up the "Nine times," clip from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
He's scored nine times already.
It's almost impossible to notice anything else going on with the Bills right now as a team. The way Josh Allen is playing, they just need to stay as healthy as possible. But keep in mind -- he just put up five touchdowns with DJ Moore getting hurt pretty early against Detroit.
We do have to mention: The Bills' defense has given up 62 points through the first two weeks. They are going to get an extremely motivated and desperate Chargers team in Week 3, so this will be another great test.
