14. Los Angeles Chargers
Nobody expected the Los Angeles Chargers to be 0-4 to start this season. This is one of the most shocking developments so far in 2026.
Thankfully for the Chargers, the only other team to climb back out of an 0-4 hole to start a season was the 1992 San Diego Chargers. Literally nobody else in NFL history has made the playoffs after an 0-4 start other than that team.
All kidding aside, this Chargers team has been atrocious to start the year. They’ve been clearly missing Jesse Minter in the defensive coordinator spot. Justin Herbert has not been making great decisions with the ball and is still getting let down by his teammates.
Oh yeah, and the Chargers’ injury report is still a couple miles long every single week. It doesn’t help that a significant chunk of the injury report is taken up by offensive linemen.
13. New York Jets
The New York Jets haven’t been good – again – in 2026, but you’re starting to at least see the vision come to fruition for head coach Aaron Glenn.
There are no moral victories in the NFL, but the Jets always get graded on a little bit of a curve just because of how bad they typically are on an annual basis.
This team actually has a huge (and fun) matchup coming up against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5. The Browns have been really solid so far this season, starting off with a 3-1 record. If the Jets can find a way to slow them down, especially considering Cleveland is coming off a little extended rest, it will be a much more substantial win for the Jets than it maybe looks on paper.
This team has a lot of young talent. They are figuring it out, and getting somewhere. It just might not be in a hurry.
