10. Indianapolis Colts

Quietly, the Indianapolis Colts have won back-to-back games after starting the season 0-2. Obviously, going into this season, we knew head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard were under immense pressure to win.

And I think part of the reason that winning over the past two weeks has happened “quietly” is because nobody really knows what to think of the Colts right now. In the first half of the 2025 season, they made it abundantly clear to everybody that they were one of the best and most efficient offenses in the NFL.

That hasn’t been the case so far this season. They are winning a little bit “uglier”, and that’s okay. With that in mind, it’s fitting that they would be getting to play against the Steelers in Week 5.

This team needs to find an identity fast. They don’t put up a bunch of yards or points. They give up a lot of yards and a decent amount of points. They have given the ball away a lot, and haven’t taken it away a lot. Again, they’re a tough team to figure out.

9. New England Patriots

The Patriots made a pretty significant jump up almost all of our lists this week following their win against the Buffalo Bills.

And while it might be a bit of recency bias, I think they jumped up for good reason.

What we saw against the Bills is much more in alignment with what we thought we were going to see all year from the Patriots. It still wasn’t a perfect game, but it was the best game we’ve seen from Drake Maye so far this season. And it was also a great opportunity for him to go into hostile territory and take down a division rival, outplaying Josh Allen on his own field.

Maye has been so disappointing all year, to the point that Mike Vrabel was calling him out publicly on multiple occasions. It would have been easy for Maye to crumble, given the circumstances, but he rose to the occasion. And so did the Patriots as a team.
